Status message:
I'm off to France for the ski season at the start of December, so I've taken everything off my inventory so that I can send the ones I've got waiting to be sent. Once I get there, I'll start offering the books I've read for trade, but I'm afraid they aren't going to be available internationally - I just won't be in a position to offer that for a while.

Bio:
Voracious reader releasing large SF collection to people who want to read the books, rather than get any more books myself. I think I am one of the few moochers who is actually achieving this!
I'll usually be happy to send out of the UK by surface mail, but this can easily take over two months. If this long a wait is an issue, please try and find an angel.
All books have all pages present, though being around 40 years old are yellowed and generally well read. Mostly second-hand, so I can't say about allergens, though all have been stored smoke-free - but cat-present! - for 20 years or so. These date from the days when all paperbacks were small, so please don't apply the somewhat pejorative 'mass market' to them. I check that the Amazon.co.uk picture is correct and add a scan if not.
I've been married to veteran moocher Sophie (userid: sophie) for just over a year.
Work from and on home - from as translator Dutch-English, on because our flat is 130 years old and needing TLC. Formerly electronic engineer and medical scientist.

Bio:
I like to read and currently have books taking over my spare room, hence joining Bookmooch.

Most of my books will be second hand but are generally in good condition as will only have been read once. I have a degree in English Lit so a lot of my books are still left over from university.

I live in Scotland with my boyfriend and three cats.

I will send out mooched books once a week.

1 DECEMBER 2008 - due to my income suddenly dropping by almost 50%, I will have to cease sending internationally or acting as a BM angel. I hate to do this, but please understand that after more than two years of happily sending books all over the world I can no longer afford to do so. If you see a book you want, then please feel free to email me and I will then reserve it for you until you can find a UK angel! If you are mooching on behalf of a BookMooch charity, I will refund your points.

NB: If there are no condition notes, then the book is in good condition - I only add notes if there is a problem. Also, books will probably have cat fur clinging to them somewhere, as we foster pussycats for the local cat sanctuary, so if you are very allergic to cat fur please don't mooch!

I am willing to send books to anywhere in the world, but I will have to use surface mail, which can take approx 12 weeks.
