Postal strikes are due to start in the U.K. soon so there may be delays in recieving and sending books.


All my books come from a smoke free pet free home and are kept in great condition, most of them only being read once or twice. However most of my books are bought second hand or mooched from here so I can’t say the same about their previous owners BUT I would never list a book that was not in a good readable condition.


Packaging

80% of the time I will be using recycled packaging to send your books to you, this is to keep my costs and household waste low.


Shipping

I am more than happy to send books worlwide so international moochers mooch away

I normally post books a within a week of being mooched however if there is going to be a longer delay I will notify you.

U.K. mooches will be sent via Royal Mail 2nd Class

Europe & Worldide will be sent via Surface Mail which can take up to 4 – 6 months to arrive depending on location, so if you urgently need a book I suggest you either contact me first to ask if I can ship it via a faster method (which may be possible depending on book size and location) or mooch from someone else.

Please consider mooching more than one book from my inventory especially if you are an international moocher as in most cases the postage costs more than what I originally bought the book for!
I want to continue to keep sending books worlwide so please consider this when mooching from me.

Just started new job... time being eaten. Still mooching & sending; may be slow, sometimes. I will always send out books eventually, but it may sometimes be as much as a month or two. If you desperately need a book more urgently than that, do let me know, and I'll do my best to send it out more quickly.

Bio:
I'm a 38-year-old bibliophile (surprise, surprise) who wishes there were a BookShelfMooch or a BiggerHouseMooch so I'd have room for all my books.

NOTE: I have a "To Read" pile that varies between one and two miles high. So if I mooch a book from you, please do yourself a favour, and send it by the cheapest means possible -- I'm almost certainly not in any rush for it. No worries about delays, either.

ANOTHER NOTE: Most of my books are in fairly tatty condition. They have all their pages, but some are old or damaged. You probably don't want them if you're a hardcore collector type, but so long as you just want to read them they should be fine.

I'm new to Bookmooch and have been shocked by the fact that in 2 days 20 of the books I have offered have been mooched! This is great but it does mean that sending them all will be very expensive so I am having to stagger sending them out.
I hope this is OK. Sorry for the wait.

Bio:
I will do my absolute best to ship books promptly and package them well. Having said that, life happens - but I'm sure you know that already.

I always bubblewrap books when i send them.

Our home is smoke free. We do have a cat although she doesn't come in the house much at all.
