Status message:
I will try to send out any books mooched from me within 1-3 days. All UK mooches will be sent 2nd class. I might send mooches abroad so please ask. All foreign mooches will be sent by surface mail so please be aware that these can take up to 20 days to arrive. I keep all proofs of postage. Some of my books also appear on another booksite so are given on a first come first served basis to be fair. I hope you enjoy your chosen books.

Status message:
Due to a house move I will be online very little in November. Any requests will not be sent until the end of November. All books requested to date (Nov 3rd 2009) have been sent. For books being sent to me, my previous address is still occupied by relatives, so any books sent to this address will still be received. Feedback may be delayed until the end of November as internet access permits.

Bio:
Most books I put on here have been read by several members of my family before they go out to the mooching world, and as such the spines will show this. However, they are all in good condition otherwise. I will never send a book with loose or missing pages, or in otherwise unreadable condition.

I do have pets and smokers in the house, although both pet hair and smoke are kept to a minimum, but keep this in mind if you are extremely allergic or fussy.

I have limited funds for mailing books, so requests from abroad may be delayed til the end of the current month. If this is the case I will let you know via email before accepting the mooch request. I may also be forced to send via surface mail depending on the weight of the book/cost of postage. Please keep in mind that according to Royal Mail this method can take over 56 days for delivery. I will do my best to avoid it, but funds are unfortunately limited.

I will send most books anywhere but please understand if the book is very large and weighty you may have to wait for my post budget to allow it to come out to you, and if you don't send outside your own country then I may reject your request in favour of another moocher.
Please note that I may decline requests for hardbacks to be sent outside my own country or I may send the books the cheapest way I can which may involve a delay in arriving so ask me to make sure.
I also re-cycle packaging when I can so it may not look pretty when it arrives but it will be beautiful on the inside.
On a happy note, can I just say a BIG THANK YOU to all those moochers who send outside their own country.I really appreciate your time,effort and financial commitment to bookmooch.

Bio:
I am a full time carer for my husband, who is now disabled and we both love books. I joined BookMooch to try and share some of our ever growing collection.

I collect books on the countryside especially biographies about people who live and work in the country. Also true stories of animals, particularly cats and dogs, but I also read anything else that catches my attention even some horror, history and the cornflake packet!!! My husband does bookbinding as a hobby (he had to retire early due to ill health) and collects anything about bookbinding, books on books or anything connected with Eric Gill, the sculptor.

The photo here is a small selection of some of the books my hubby, Chris has restored.

We have no pets now (sadly) but have had dozens in the past, and actually ran an animal sanctuary many years ago. Poppy, our neighbours cat regularly visits us.She is a real sweety and 'talks' constantly to us and never stops purring(except when asleep)!

Most books are our own from new and are well looked after and from a smoke-free home. Any books which we have bought from charity shops which may have some damage will be clearly detailed in the descriptions.

They will all be carefully wrapped to post.

I can be a bit slow checking my email every now and then, and I'm currently decorating the house so my inventory is a little boxed up and hard to find. I get there eventually though.
