Status message:
My posting day is usually Friday. I send 2nd class in the UK and will send most paperbacks and light hardbacks abroad. Please email if you wish to mooch a really thick paperback (over 500 pages) from outside the UK. I only keep a small inventory due to lack of space. It is my intention to weed out those books that have been on the pile for too long and replace with others.

Bio:
Joined Bookmooch August 2007. I am married with 3 sons and two part time jobs: tutor to adults with learning difficulties and bookkeeper. My taste in reading is very varied. I also belong to Bookcrossing, and may occassionally send out those B/C books which have many copies in the B/C system already.

Bio:
I've always loved reading and in later years have become a bit of a bookaholic. I have far too many to read but still can't stop books coming into the house!

My books live in a smoke and pet free house but many of them are obtained from other second hand book sites and charity shops etc so they may in the past have been in a smokey/pet environment.

I look after my books so unless a book has a condition note attached, you can assume it is in a good readable condition.

I am prepared to post to the USA and other countries when finances allow but this will be by surface mail which can take up to 2 months to arrive. Please bear this mind before requesting a book. Books sent within the UK will be by second class and those to Europe by surface or air mail, depending on cost and the size of the book. If mooching from outside the UK, please email me first, thanks.

My books are listed on other internet book sites so I'm afraid they are offered on a first come first served basis.

Bio:
I live in Hertfordshire in the UK and am a writer.

My writing room is stuffed with over a thousand books and tumbling piles of notebooks, every surface is dotted with coloured post-it notes, reminders of ideas for stories or books, and all of this shares space with numerous demi-johns full of fermenting home-made wine – and a cat named Poe.

I have written nearly a hundred short stories and many of them have been published or have won prizes in competitions. I write crime, horror, literary, supernatural, historical and contemporary.

Helped by a grant from Arts Council England, I have completed a murder/mystery novel. 'Fathoming Shadows' is set partly in Cornwall in the 1830s and partly in Cornwall and London in 2007. I am seeking representation for this book.

I'm currently working on a book set in the fascinating underworld of Victorian London - hence some of the books on my wishlist.

Status message:
Non-smoking home. We have cats but they rarely get even close to our books, not being great readers themselves!
I will always send books out within 2 or 3 days max. However, when sending overseas I will send 'surface mail, printed papers' rate which may take a few weeks, so please be patient!

I will usually send small books abroad but I use surface mail which is much cheaper than air mail. This means that books being sent to a destination a long way from the UK will take several weeks to arrive.
