Bio:
Most of my books have lived with me only for as long as it takes to read them. I have noted any individual deformities where appropriate.

I do share my home with some furry people and some smoke-loving people (I am, however, very clean!), but please don't mooch from me if either of these offends you.

I am happy to send books outside of the UK, but only to people who do likewise - it just seems fairer that way.
I always use surface mail which will take up to 6 weeks to reach you; please be patient!

Oct 2009 UPDATE - I have just moved and don't have enough space for books which are now superfluous. I will bve adding a few every few days for others to mooch!

Mature student who has many books I don't think I'll ever read again. So my shelves needs to be filled with new books to replace the ones I no longer need.

I have now completed my degree and am actively looking to do a Master's degree. So I am interested in the usual politics and philsophy with a little history thrown in still!

I have a pet dog and people in my household smoke - please keep that in mind if you're allergic etc

I will post anywhere in the UK but need to check for overseas because I'm not a rich man and I need to check postage rates etc. But I endeavour to send it out. It will be by surface mail.

Status message:
I won't be able to send books abroad for a while now. I think I have to start scheduling my mooching :P

Bio:
I like reading, of course! ^.^ I also like creative writing, baking, music, crafty things, eating, anime, manga, and lots more stuff :) I love penpalling and getting letters and notes from people makes me really really happy!

I've decided to let people ask me about sending worldwide, however, if you do mooch a book worldwide I will have to send surface mail. Thanks! :)

I can usually only send books at the weekend, but I'd be very happy if you could request a book during the week. That way I can get all the books together to send in one visit to the post office. I have a dog (but he doesn't read). Some books may have come through bookcrossing or charity shops, so I can't always tell what kind of households they have come from.

Living in London, I have too many books to cope with. I will not offer any books in sub-standard condition unless explicitly stated in the condition report. This is a smoke and pet free home.

Currently running 3-for-2 on some of the children's books in my inventory! Check it out!

Ready and willing to mooch, non-smoking household.

I will include a few Bookmooch cards in your package, unless you tell me when you mooch that you don't want them.

I USUALLY ONLY ACCEPT INTERNATIONAL MOOCHES TO COUNTRIES WITHIN THE EU (EUROPEAN UNION). I will sometimes accept from other countries, however, it depends on how busy I am at that time, and I will be more likely to accept a double+ mooch. I will usually send to charities no matter which country they are based in. Please ask me.

Within the UK I will send second class. Within the EU I will send airmail if it doesn't cost much more than surface. If I send outside the EU I will usually send surface mail, which may take a lot longer than airmail would. I can't afford to spend a lot of money on postage, I hope you understand.

Bio:
Please check the condition notes as many of my books are ex-library and may have stamps, stickers, and missing first pages (my local library often rips out the front page rather than removing just the barcode sticker when they sell books - tut!).

My house is entirely smoke-free and if I buy or mooch a second hand book that smells of smoke it will be thoroughly aired as I hate the smell of cigarettes, but I can't guarantee books will be completely safe for allergy sufferers. The same goes for pets, I don't have any but I rarely list a book that was new to me on here, I don't know the histories of the books I list.

My inventory is also listed on other swapsites but when a book is requested there I update BM as soon as possible. This has never caused problems before.

I send all books in used jiffy bags, except the school revision guides which I send in ordinary brown manilla envelopes - they have no spines to protect as they are just stapled together, and jiffy bags in that size are more expensive.
