This was not my favorite Cormac McCarthy book. The story is VERY slow, and at 432 pages, very long. But you really can't beat McCarthy's writing style.If you've already read and loved "No Country for Old Men" (as I had before I got this book), then this may be a disappointment. But if you're a fan of his other Border Trilogy books, this is an essential read to complete the collection.
