Amy W (USA: MD) (2010/08/10): My opinions seem to vary so differently than those on Amazon that I thought I would start putting them here too.I really liked this book. Was it my favorite Carpathian story... no, but it was one that I would say not to skip. Those that can be skipped, Melody, and Gold; both should have been written as short stories. This had a good story about a blind musician who ends up being the lifemate for Byron. You may remember Byron from Dark Desire, as the best friend of Jacques, the prince's brother. There is a mystery as to what is happening with Anonietta's family. Accidents happen and who and why has to be answered. The biggest complaint I have about the Carpathian novels is the repetitiveness of both the sex scenes and feelings. I want the story to move along. This had less repetitiveness and more story... and the story was overall good.
