I am a big Marion Chesney fan and although I prefer her regency writing to her more recent detective series(s) this is a well written, entertaining book in her Edwardian Murder Mystery series. From back cover "Lady Rose Summer's debut into high society is a complete disaster. Rose's father suspects her fiance`Sir Geoffrey Blandon to be a first-degree blackguard and calls on Captain Harry Cathcart to investigate...."

Highly recommended for fans of period mysteries or Regency romance. It features a couple of excellent master/servant duos that reminded me of Sayers or Kate Ross.
