jamesj (United Kingdom) (2006/08/20): Gladwell considers a topic that ought to be obvious to everyone, but isn't. His writing style is enjoyable, but ultimately the book amounts less to a new theory than it does to a series of interesting short stories about when first impressions counted for and against the situations he considers.
