Status message:
I send out once a week, usually Monday. 90% of the time I send out airmail or first class but occasionally my finances dont allow this and I will let you know.


I dont care about what sending status you are sent to, I know there are lots of reasons why people can only send to their own country. Please mooch from me though, I need the points!

I often reuse packaging so you may need scissors on hand when the parcel arrives!

I try to err on the side of caution with condition notes and will generally give the book a thorough examine and list all flaws. However, there may be a few that have slipped through the net so I am happy to answer any possible questions that you might have about the book.

Please be aware of the fact that although this is a nonsmoking, non pet owning house hold, most of my books are second hand and may have some dusty or smoky smell. Wherever possible I mention it in the condition notes.

If I am mooching I only cancel books if I am asked to or if the moocher hasnt accepted the mooch in a week to two weeks (without communication!).

Bio:
Book addict, have turned the spare bedroom into a library to house all of my books. Will read most things and if there is nothing around I will read anything, including copies of my husband's scientific magazines and the back of soap bottles. I have a daughter and a son who I am training up in my bookloving ways and a husband who is amused and tolerant (to a point!). We lived in Switzerland for three years, lovely place to live but bit of a desert when it comes to books in English so Bookmooch enabled me to keep up my voracious reading habits.

I have an MA in Ancient History and am doing a second degree at the moment whilst I am at home with my children. I will read most things except popular books (I tend to wait about ten years and then read it), chick lit (and the male equivalents) and self-help books. I prefer fantasy, post-apocalyptic fiction and bawdy classic fiction (especially 18th century). I also have a soft spot for well written YA fiction/fantasy and books about serial killers/urban exploration/mental asylums. If anyone has any recommendations I am always happy to hear them!
