July 2009:

This month I should be able to get books out in the mail within a week of them being mooched. I am behind, though, on sorting incoming mail- so it is taking me a bit longer for me to acknowledge books received.

Are you mooching from overseas & collect stamps? If so, please mention this when mooching. I will attempt to use mostly commemorative stamps (in addition to our USPS's orange & white meter strip) when mailing your book.

Bio:
I am an avid reader, but lately have been listening to a lot more books-on-tape that reading the printed words. I travel a lot for business, and books-on-tape/CD are an absolute life-saver on those loooong drives.

Most of my books come from the local Humane Society Thrift 'n' Gift, other thrift stores, garage sales, etc. Any obvious problems with the condition of books I will be sure to mention (like if they smell overwhelmingly of smoke or mold, or have water damage), but I have no way of knowing the less obvious. I do have cats, but they do not get around the books. Usually I only buy books in good condition.

For the benefit of the environment and to save on shipping costs, I always recycle/reuse packaging materials.
